Dynamo photo program

The DYNAMO photography programme is the result of these 6 months of work in the darkroom and working as a company.

Dynamo (is a feminine word in spanish), it is a generator. Electric energy is generated with movement and is continuous and unstoppable.

That is what Lakeside Darkroom is all about.

A dynamo is the generation of a current of electricity that lights up our entire future. Using a dynamo, you can generate a TON of power using very little dynamic energy.

A small dynamo in our bike's rear wheel generates electricity to light our way.

This is what this programme is all about and its central event is an exhibition. 27th April PV Thursday 6.30-9.30

(the dates are still to be specified but this would be the calendar)

We have several events that will warm up the engines.

Firstly, on the 26th of March there will be a FEM PHOTO WALK.

on the 1st of April we have a FEM PHOTO FEM TECH TRAINING

Saturday 8th April, Saturday Affordable Workshops

9 April Liquid Emulsion Workshop

15 April Saturday, Deadline for submision of the exhibition and Saturday Affordable Workshops

22 and 23 April, Colour Weekend

This event is about developing colour film on Saturday, several rolls.

And printing them on Sunday

School workshop (approximate dates, April 24th or 25th).

Opening of the exhibition on April 27th!

And it will conclude with a Women Photographers panel discussion: cross-generational, feminist, cross-cultural, and multi-photographic. In other words, we'll talk about photography regarding to galleries, commercial photography, artistic photography, art world, Photography studio WORLD, different moments of the artistic career, creative and uncreative processes, etc etc etc etc.

Panel discussion to share knowledge, share experiencies, ask questions, show other colleagues how to be brave, show other colleagues how to face and enjoy special situations as women photographers!!!

The programme focus on the experiences of women as photographers from different backgrounds, from different career stages and from different cultures, different generations.

This amazing idea, is super necessary, and can give us a lot of energy and mutual support, is to have a debate between women photographers/artists/commercial photography, all together.

Lakeside Darkroom (LKSD) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a feminist ethos. Established in August 2022, the primary focus of LKSD is to provide a safe, comfortable and empowering learning environment for practitioners of all levels.
